Wireless drop-off with Vista Basic
Good Morning,
I have a new Everex step note laptop with a C7-m processor running Windows Vista Basic software. The problem I keep having is with intermittent wireless disconnect from the router. I must reset the Belkin Wireless G router (F5D7230-4) in order for the pc to see the network and connect. Otherwise it will not see the network. Previously, I had a D-Link 624 router that the laptop could not see in wireless or wired mode. It immedietly responded to the Belkin router. But, I get the inttermittent drop-off's. Can someone please Help me?

Check website to see if there are newer drivers for wireless adapter in laptop. This sounds like a defect in laptop frankly if not a driver issue. I doubt router has anything to do with it unless the laptop is at a real distance or there is something interfering with the reception. You might actually want to try another wireless network adapter that you can aim as onboard are not always the best.
