Solved: Vista backup error 0x8007045D
I tried to backup files for the first time with Windows Vista Home Premium on my Compaq laptop. I wanted to save the backup to DVDs. I followed the instructions that Vista gave me and was able to get one DVD done, but when I tried to continue with my backup to the second DVD, I got an error message...I/O Device Error 0x8007045D...and the backup could not be completed.
Does anyone have any solutions to this problem? Thanks.

I did some digging and the problem has been solved, hopefully for good!! (The problem was with my Compaq laptop..not with the PC described below.)

I have the same problem with my FUJITSU-SIEMENS laptop!
How did you solve the problem?
It's really frustating that the backup process always stops close to the end ...
