Did you install vista drivers for your audio card?

I think its this: http://us.creative.com/support/downl...pe=0&x=30&y=15

Is there any yellow exclamation marks in the Device Manager under the Sound information?

If you run services.msc..is Windows Audio running?

Go ahead and run services.msc, and start the windows audio service, and set it to automatic..reboot and try it again
