I'm not sure if this is too vague a problem for you guys to be much help, but hey, I'll take my chances!

Anyway, I got a new computer just a few months ago. It's got a wireless connection, but since it's the second computer in the house, it was connected on the network with this NetGear thingamajig, instead of directly, you know?

When I upgraded to Window's Vista, however, the NetGear think was removed for being outdated. However, fortunately, it seemed to be able to connect without it, buuut...

It acts like my network is sending a clear signal at all times, but then takes forever to connect whenever I sign on. It lags like hell, and even disconnects every ten minutes! One time, I couldn't get back on the internet for nearly an hour, and while I was waiting it crashed.

Is there something I missed here...? Why's it being so screwy?
