error concerning AcLayers.DLL
As of today i get the following error when i open a (new) internet explorer window:

iexplore.exe - Bad Image

C:\Windows\AppPatch\AcLayers.DLL ie either not designed to run on
Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using
the original installation media or contact your system administrator or
the software vendor for support.

I also have the exact same error when i start Battleifiel 2142, only then with:

rundll32.exe - Bad Image

the rest is the same.
All programs seem to work normal.

I'm trying to remember what my last actions were, before i had this prolem, i dont know for sure anymore, but maybe it was one of these actions:
1. Doing a defragmentation with diskeeper 2007. I also did a boot-time defrag, with paging file and MFT. I'm not sure, but i think he didn't quite finish the defrag when the computer suddenly restarted. Then at the welcome screen i got an error that the pc couldn't log in. I restarted again and the system did a checkdisk run, after that, all seemed normal again.
2. I installed Apache 2.2 with php and mysql. those programs seem to work well.

I don't really know if one of these actions has to do anything with the error though.

I allready searched the internet about this problem, i saw alot like mine, but not quite the same. Most of what i found was on xp, and i'm using vista home premium 64-bit.

I also found a site (http://www.driverskit.com/dll/aclayers.dll/1.html) where i could download a new aclayers.dll file from. Only i dont really know if its a good idea to replace mine with that one...

Cause i saw alot of posts where people had to post a hijackthis log, here is mine:

I'm having exactly the same problem as Eyemicah.

Unfortunately, shatira's fix did not resolve the problem.

After some searching around, I found that uninstalling "Update for Microsoft Windows (KB935280)" fixed the problem.
The thread I found suggested re-installing it again afterwards, but it broke again when I did it.
see: http://www.vistax64.com/vista-genera...-messages.html for more details.
