Active X problem
Whenever I log onto certain sites I get the following window popup "Click to run an active X control on this webpage" and I have to click "ok" every single time before the page will fully load. Any suggestions as to how I can bypass this annoyance.

Kind Regards,
Jeff

On your internet explorermenu bar select tools/internet options/security...internet>custom level...scroll down til you see "ActiveX controls and Plugins" ...see if it is checked as "prompt"... if it is change it to "enable" ok/apply

I believe it will prompt to restart ie to take effect

Thanks Uhaligani...I have tried that previously and restarted my computer and I continue to get the same box pop up. Any other suggestions out there?

Well. I tracked down something pretty depreesing. MS had a lawsuit going with a company involved with Activex. MS lost. As a result they had to bring out an update so that it is required to click every time on an active X page.
The solution is to uninstall the KB912945 update (via the "Add/Remove Programs" icon in the Control Panel)
(Otherwise use FireFox?)
