I am useing windows Vista, on a AMD dual core A8N SLI deluxe motherboard. I have 2 gigs of ram and decided to go to 4 gigs. Last problem I predicted I'd encounter is loseing my wireless router connection (thru a Motorola surfboard hub). I tried multiple troubleshooting steps, disabled, enabled, uninstalled, reinstalled drivers, etc. Even talked to cable provider tech support. They concluded that it was a conflict with my pc. So, I decided to take 2 gigs back out (had 4-512mb stcks, i left in 2-1 gig brand new sticks....just to be sure new ram vs. old ram not issue). Sure enough, soon as I boot up,my wireless connection is detected with no problems.
So, Anyone with a clue as to why 4 gigs is dropping my wireless connection but 2 is not? And, yes, my pc is allowed 4 gigs of mem....everything else ran smooth with the 4 gigs inside, just not wireless connection. /ponder
