Problems with Chk Dsk
I am able to find where I can run check disk. I tried 2 different ways:

1)I tried in computer folder, right clicked on C drive, selected properties, and tools, check now and unchecked automatically fix now, and it looks like it is starting to scan, but then stops. I also tried checking off automatically fix now, and it says that it will schedule chk dsk for the next time computer starts, but it doesn't.
2)I also clicked on start > run > typed in CHKDSK > clicked ok, but it won't run.

Restart your pc.
Repeatedly push F8 while the pc is starting up.
When you get to the boot menu, scroll down to safe mode and push enter.

Your desktop is gonna look very different, but dont worry because it will go back to normal once you restart.

Why safe mode? Because scandisk might be freezing because of programs that are running in the background. Booting in safemode guarantees that no unnecessary programs start up.

BTW, i dont think chkdsk exists anymore in windows xp and vista. Its now called scandisk
