Screensaver still unanswered I am having the same problem others are having with the screensaver in Vista.
Here is where I am at:
I have searched the Internet for anything I could find that would help me to repair the screensaver. Nothing has worked for me including all of the fixes marked as solved.
I am now using a wired keyboard and mouse and have uninstalled the software for both of them, and am sure I am using the latest video drivers. I tried a different video card just to be sure it wasn’t that.
The screensaver will not activate. I have it set for bubble’s and have tried different time settings. Nothing will make it come on automatically. I can make it manually come on with a shortcut that I have put on my desktop. It will also go to sleep and activate, (awake).
It seems to me that there is something in the registry that is corrupt and causing the problem. It does work in the preview pane.
I also have the “Microsoft - Other Hardware - HID Non-User Input Data Filter software update installed which was released in January, 2007.
Can anyone help me with this problem??
Thanks You
Irv
