Unhappy computer can not comunicate with printer
I just bought a new Dell with windows vista. this would not work with my Lexmark 3300
printer. I finally downloaded a driver from lexmark that is supposed to make my printer work, however, all I get is the message that the printer can't be found. The printer is listed,I can click on it, print page comes up ,I click ok nothing happens. Please help, I haven't been able to use my printer in about 3 mos. I'm about ready to give up and go back to XP but I'm not sure how to do that either.
Thanmks for any help you can give.

I would have a go at uninstalling the Printer and then reinstalling it again. After you have done this as below, make sure all the cables are connected and then reboot the PC and see if Vista detects it as new hardware.
To uninstall the printer, go to CONTROL PANEL x PRINTERS and right click on your printer. Click on DELETE and follow prompts.
