Unistall Windows Vista from another partition
How can I remove Windows Vista from another partition without formatting the drive? I have important files on there and my Windows XP partition is full and I can't make any more partitions

Have you tried the Administrative tools/Computer management/Disk management and shrinking or expanding one or other of your partitions

Backup your files onto a cd/dvd/usb stick or external harddrive and give it a wipe. Also, you will need to put your xp cd in and in the recovery command prompt run "fixmbr" to wipe vista's bcd. I am not sure if this will clear bcd (in fact i think it wont) but its worth a try.

Other people might know a way to do what you ask, but I would never do it. I HIGHLY recommend that you don't try to do this.

If your files are in the "users" folder in vista, you will have problems accessing them from xp without 'gaining ownership' of them. So back them up in vista instead of xp.
