Windows Vista
Hello,
I am purchasing a new laptop computer. Should I put Windows XP on it instead of Vista? I have been hearing about problems with Vista, especially in terms of memory and internet speed. I am looking at a the Dell E1505 with 2GB of memory and 120GB of Hard drive.
Thanks,
Bridget

At this point i'd stick with XP until the first service pack is released for Vista. I like Vista, but I like experimenting.

I have vista on two laptops and xp pro on a desktop and xp home on a laptop and two desk tops and I have found that for the most part I like the vista better. I have an AMD processor and 2 gig ram and it is faster on the net than the others that are running the same ram and ie 7. the only thing I have found is that if you don't know much about networking then you may want to stay with xp as vista does not have a wizard that will do it for you.
