Can i use vista OEM in new build
Hi,

never installed a new OS before and I was looking on www.aria.com and the like and they sell OEM versions of Vista for much cheaper than the retail versions.

SO I was wondering if it's ok to use the OEM version on any comp or would I have to get looking for OEMs specific for my PC ......... which will be difficult since I was gonna build one (first build).

Also if I got the OEM would that limit me in any way with respect to the retail version.

Cheers.

OEM has to be installed as a clean install, it cannot be installed as an upgrade to an existing OS.
Yes you can install on any pc, If you are building your own then OEM is the way to go

It'll probably be another 3-4 years before they release another OS.
