Vista Compatible Software
I really like Vista, but I've experienced issues trying to install two software programs so far. PerfectDisk and TuneUp Utilities 2007 are both said to be Vista compatible, but I can't install either program to my new Sony laptop with Vista Home Premium. TuneUp Utilities 2007 goes through part of the installation procedure, but stops when a little window appears asking me to 'install' the software. I'm wondering how many others are experiencing issue installing software that is claimed to be Vista certified or compatible.

I dont have either, but have you tried disabling any antivirus program, and also instead of double-clicking the .exe, right-click and select Run As Administrator (even if you are logged in as one)

I did try disabling the antivirus when installing the software. I'll disable it again and try installing the software as you suggest. Thanks for the suggestion. Are you hearing about any others experiencing issues installing software on Vista?

Here and there some people are unable to install stuff, but nothing profound

But whenever I install something new on the system I always use Run As Administrator, after that I just open it normally

I would expect utility programs and emulators to have issues when moving to a new operating system. Applications usually continue to function. For example, I'm successfully running Quicken 2001 Deluxe on Vista Home Premium.
