i keep getting this when i boot into vista every other time..

What does it meean??

By the way, in order to boot into Safe Mode, keep pressing f8 as your computer is booting up

Ok well I think i might have solved it.
I have just updated my bios and it seems to have gone away. And a new problem seems to have cropped up.
When i shutdown my pc via windows, It get's past the logos "shutting down blah blah blah..."

The monitor goes off but the pc is still on....??
