hay I have found another way of installing XP over Vista without using sata software in sata hard disk it is change the AHCI to IDE from the bios then install xp. But now facing a new problem though i have finished installing xp bt when my laptop boots up it gives 2 choices of OS
1. Windows Xp Home Edition
2. Unknown Operating System in C:/

My question is i have partitioned all my drives and there is only one windows in my laptop why this massage comes? how should i get rid of it.

Can I retrive backup Drivers from my Back up vista DVD which i created using Erecovery?
I dont find anything its in Image format.

My laptop is acer Extensa 5620
please any one reply me ,

- first you must update your bios driver then restart and change bios boot option from IDE to AHCI mode
-for your another problem, on your windows desktop right click on my comupter then click on properties, goto advance tab then click on settings button next to startup and recovery on that tab click on edit button then deleted unwanted startup string but be careful and must make sure before delete that startup option then press ctrl+s and restart your computer
