Two Vista Questions.............
I have built my own systems over the years as a rule but a time / need issue arose where I had to have a new system quick like a bunny so I store bought a Acer system that came with the O/S already installed. ( see my specs )

1st. question... How can I get my hands on the actual M/S O/S disk ? I e-mailed Acer and haven't received a reply. grrrrrrrr

2nd. question... I have 2GB of RAM installed. How much of a difference would it make if I bumped it up to 4. I use quite a bit of photo editing apps. and noticed it isn't as fast as my XP system.

Other than a few growing pains working with Vista I really don't have any other problems.... yet.

I run a couple of the Acer T180 V2 (3800+) on Vista Home Premium.
They came with 1 GB of RAM, I upgraded to 2 GB, but for most applications I was really straining to see a difference. So I suspect the difference may be marginal for you?

There is no Vista CD supplied, I doubt you will get one. The Acer has an application to allow you to burn a copy of the Vista restoration files to DVD, from the hidden partition. That's about as far as you will be able to go I suspect, in terms of physical media.
