boot disk error
I recently received a desktop i purchased online. pc did not have an operating system. i am trying to load windows vista home edition and every time i turn on the computer to install the operating system i get a boot disk error. can anyone help

have you set the pc to boot from CD in the BIOS?

If you are using a USB keyboard, try a PS/2 one for this process.

If you have a floppy drive, be sure it's empty.

It will let me change the bios when i go to the advanced bios menu. But when i go to the boot menu i cant do anything

OK. Can you change the boot order in BIOS?

What does the other boot menu say?

cmos setup ultility is the name of the menu then i go to advanced bios menu. i can change first second and third boot device. but when i change it it still does the same error.
