Indexing certain file types only
Is there some way I can set the Windows Index to index files of certain extensions only? E.g. I do not need to have .dll, .bat., .dat etc. files indexed but would like files such as .doc, .xls, .exe to be indexed.

Click on Start, then in the Start Search field, type Indexing Options and then enter

Then click on the Advanced button, and hit continue if u get the UAC prompt

Then click on the File Type tab, and you can select the extensions

There are less than 40 file types here, all of them that I've manually added; yet, even after an index re-build, the Windows Search gives me useless file types and the file types not in the list in the search results.
