Screen resolution problems out of nowhere
Ok well my computer has been working fine without any problems for a few weeks with my 8800 ultra, with all the drivers/vista everything done for me. Everything was working fine until last night when vista started up (I could hear the chime at the start through my speakers) but the monitor displayed "no signal input" (even though I got the POST screen of the motherboard and the loading bar with microsoft below it)

I unplugged the monitor then plugged it back in and got a picture back of the desktop but it was stuck at its NOW max resolution of 1024 x 768 when it was previously 1600 x 1200 or whatever that was (22" LCD DVI port monitor on Vista Ultimate)

I downloaded the newest forceware drivers, uninstalled all my drivers for nvidia (including the forceware and actual drivers that you get on the disk) and noticed that it loaded up in my previous resolution but with no graphics card shown:

I installed my drivers and the newest forceware that is on the main page at the moment (158.24) but then noticed it was back to 1024 x 768 as the highest possible set resolution:

Does anyone have any idea why I can view my monitor with no display drivers or anything installed at 1600.. but with display drivers installed only at 1024? It doesn't make sense and is annoying me.. it is the same in the nvidia control panel.

Please help if you know anything, even links to earlier drivers that should work (I can't remember what was installed before I installed the new ones

P.S. Everytime I boot my computer up with the forceware drivers installed, I have to unplug and plug back in my monitor with the same "no signal input" message everytime.
