Why is my HD always working ?
My C drive is alway ticking away in the background and some of Windows Mail stuff is slow (I noted it was using 120MB of memory to start with - then I closed WM down and restarted WM, and now only 9MB is used ?)

Virtually no CPU is being used and the highest memory useage now is Desktop Window Manager with 90 MB - would this be indexing that is being performed and slowing the damn thing ?

I have a GB of RAM running Premium

I also have a Send Receive bug with WM, perhaps I ought to ask on the other forum ?

Thanks

That's Vista working in the background to do indexing and background defrag. Those functions are supposed to be configures do they get out of the way when you make a disk request to avoid any performance penalty.
