Question Best anti-virus software for Vista?
Hello,

I'm running Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit protected by the AVG 7.5 anti-virus suite. My question is: what is the best software for me to use for Vista, in terms of initial loading time, concise user interface and level of detection?

I am willing to pay any sum of money as long as my 3 home computers are protected. My AVG 7.5 license has expired and before I renew it, I want to make sure that it is worth doing.

Thanks for your help and time on this matter

I use nod32 and find it to be excellent for both vista and win2k/xp. I think avg still has a free version available for download. Have you checked that out?

If u want a free antivirus software i think that would be avg antivirus or for spyware super anti spyware. thats free too.
And if ur ready to pay then Windows live onecare, Norton 360, Trendo micro antivirus 2007 or Kaspersky antivirus 2007

Well so everyone knows, AVG or AVeraGe (Average) Anti-Virus is very good in detection but not good in removal. I use to use AVG and I had gotten a Trojan called Trojan.Zapchast it would detect it every time I started my computer BUT did NOT remove it. As soon as I installed Norton it was Gone. So it just depends are what you will be doing with your computer.
