I just purchased a new acer 5100 computer. I have a wireless router. When I start up the computer I have to manually click my wireless connection. Shouldnt the computer look for the connection automatically upon start up like my Dell and HP do?

All of my Vista machines will find the local wireless networks, but will NOT connect unless I tell it to and to which one. I normally have at least 3 available networks.

In Network choose Network and Sharing Center, Manage Wireless networks, click on tghe network you are using and you should see a box to check to connect automatically.
