Cool Internet Explorer Blank page
Hi, I have a new HP Pavilian with Windows Vista Home Premium. I get this blank page when it boots up. The only way I've found to be rid of it is to use Ctrl and Alt then delete. It will show task manager etc. You have to end task with task manager. I know there must be a way to be rid of it forever. Anyone know what to do?
Thanks,
Dancinfeet

Hi and welcome.

Go to the start button, in the search area, type msconfig and hit enter. On the startup tab, look for something internet explorer or web page related and uncheck it, then restart.

Unhappy re:IE Blank Page
I did what you suggested, but there is no IE or anything like that in the area of the startup tab. Now what? Everything in the startup tab is checked. I hate calling my tech out here again. Is there another suggestion?
Thanks

Download Hijack This, make a folder for it, don't save it to just the desktop or temp directory, scan the computer and post a scan log.
