Vista Wireless Internet Problem First off, I am NOT very knowlegable about my computer's specifications, but I do know how to operate it fairly well. I just moved in about 3 weeks ago and my roommate has a wireless internet set up.
It was working just fine for me without much trouble at all - until yesterday. I woke up and tried to connect and it simply told me that "Windows cannot connect to ______ network" (the network is named after my roommate, and i left his name out). I have not been able to log back in for a full day. I can connect to other unsecure networks around me, but for some reason I can't connect to his network anymore. Yes, it's a secure network, but I have the password and like I said - for the past 3 weeks I have had no trouble using it.
There haven't been any changes or anything, but for some reason it was working 2 days ago, then POOF! it stops working.
Does ANYONE have the slightest idea what's going on?
Oh, one more thing - when I ask Vista to diagnose the problem, it never can tell me what the problem is - only that there IS problem (what a helpful feature!). |
