Angry location is not available help
Hi
after receiving some windows updates it get this location is not available c:\windows\system32\config\systemprofile\desktop refers to a location that is unavailable.it could be on a hard drive on this computer.or on a network. check to make sure that the disk is properly inserted, or that you are connected to the internet or your network and then try again. if it still cannot be located the information might have been moved to a different location. { i am connected to the internet} can anyone please tell me how to fix this?

thank you

A quick fix would be to create the "desktop" folder in systemprofile. I think one of the updates, to which you refer, might be from an old XP program. The folder does exist in XP, but has probably got lost with some of the new paths in Vista. That fix may cause running problems, however, with whichever program is associated with it. If you can track it down, try and reinstall it in compatibility mode, which will often (not always) sort out the path difference for you.
