Is anyone else have a "Symantec Configuration Problem" with Norton Internet Security 2007 installing on a Vista computer? If so can you please tell me how you fixed it. I have talked to 12 Tech Reps from Norton over the past 4 days/20 hours total trying to figure out how to fix the problem and neither of the 12 reps seemed to know how to fix it. I even had 3 remotes done by them and they still couldnt fix it. The only thing they seemed to know how to do was uninstall it with their Norton Removal Tool and then reinstall it again. Finally this is what one of the Techs told me last night....

"Rajagopal: Please note that Windows Vista will not completely compatible with Norton Internet security 2007. Norton going to launch Norton internet security 2008 which is most comaptible with Vista as soon as possible."

He told me that even though it says that it is compatible with Vista on Norton's website. So I even tried to use Norton 360 but it did the same exact thing as NIS 2007. I also went ahead and tried NIS 2008 Beta version and it worked perfect without a single glitch. This is been by far the worse Product Support I have ever had or heard of.

That's weird cause I haven't had any issue with NIS 2007 at all, installed fine for me in Vista, been using it since February

Well Kama you are the first person I have heard without Nis 2007 issues on any computer.
Personally I think you have your answer ustacp, if Norton cannot fix it and there are issues, uninstall it. Download and install Avast free and go into Control panel and activate Windows Firewall, and you will have a much better experience. BTW of all the bad Norton programs, Internet Security version has always been consistently the worst software ever made and year after year gets worse. I am talking now as software, not necessarily as an antivirus program though it is the poorest there as well.

Ya, I know. Ive been using NIS since 2004 and never had a problem, but I got to say that NIS 2007 is way better than the previous versions
