Is DX10 worth it?
Ok so i have a DX10 card (8800GTS specifically) and i was wondering if i should spend the money on vista so that i can duel boot it and use it specifically for gaming cuz i want to take full advantage of my card. I just didnt know if itll make the graphics that much better (i just picked up bioshock). Thanks

It will definitely make them prettier(check out trailers for games like crysis)but in the end u will have to answer this question yourself.see the improved graphics urself and decide whether vista's worth it or not.(btw nice username.maybe i'll change mine to liquidgearsoild if possible...... )

i probably will end up getting it just cuz Crysis is a fine lookin game and my card has so much more potential. (most metalgear fans like the name a lot so i wouldn't hold it against you if you made yours similar)

I would say its worth it and I also sugest a xp and vista dualboot so you can continue to use present software and play some of the older games and you vista for the newer game and future software plus vista once it is configured properly is a will be a great os system so get used to vista because xp is going to be obsalete in the future of games and software

To use DX10, you need Vista. Windows XP is NOT DX10 compatible so, if I were you, I would upgrade...everything looks 100% better!! Believe me!
