Can you list all the computers and whether they work or not?

Me too!
Okay this just started happening to me, my laptop and my desktop at home cannot access web through browser programs, but I can still play online poker. I called my ISP, they said my connection is strong and good, thus it is not their problem.

I read above someone mentioned a problem with port 80 being blocked. My ISP did not mention this as a possibility. They just ran me through the usual power cycling bs and insisting I check my fire walls to see if my comp is blocking these programs. Of course I had already checked this and done all the genius turning on and off stuff, but I had to humor them. They tried resetting my modem, and I read my isp address to them and various tcp/ip settings.

They concluded that it is not something on their end, and suggested i had picked up a network virus perhaps? Are their viruses that can do this? I run Clamwin on all my comps and it updates regularly.

Oh yeah, my laptop runs Vista, my desktop XP, the problem is the same regardless.

Help please.

When I was going through this issue, I found McAfee was causing the problem. It's firewall. I uninstalled it, all good.

I've got this problem and I've had it before. Sometimes IE and Firefox don't work. Before it was Firefox that didn't work. Reinstalling fixed it for a while. But the problem is with a computer that has been networked peer to peer wireless, now by mains plug as the wireless was a bit flakey in this big old house.
I reckon that it is a software conflict rather than a virus as the system is firewalled and a-v. Maybe just one user has downloaded a utility that sometimes makes the browser 'forget' to look for an IP address? Same problem appeared with a laptop sometimes, but my own computer seems OK. That may be becos I don't put a load of junk on it. Oh yes, one other guy here never has a problem and he connects to the house router wirelessly. He is a techie and doesn't put junk on his either. so the problem is not the ISP, not the router, not the hardware. Must be software conflict. How to fix it? Don't know, that's why i'm looking.
