Solved: How to save certain things in JPEG format?
I would like to know how to save a screen(or window) that I'm opening for example in the control panel(or anywhere),as JPEG picture format?

For example somebody posted this pictures on a forum and I wonder how he managed to save them first? What are the necessary steps?

To save your entire desktop, press the Print Screen key. Then use a program like Irfanview to paste it, and save it as a .JPG.

Incidentally, I use Capture Express.

you can also use microsoft paint thats included in windows to paste the screen capture if you don't have Irfanview. then just save as... and change the file type to .jpeg under the file name.

You can also use "ctrl" print screen pressed at same time and then right click and paste in Ms Word.

Screen Shots are usually best saved in a gif format ... like your first example.
You don't need 16 million colors ... or the jpeg distortion on the sharp edges.
.. See the noisy halo around the text in your second example ??

Alt+PrtScr gets just the "active" Window
