Icons don't show up almost everywhere and applications crash when clicking on open,
This only started happening recently. When I click on browse, open, or save, and the browser window is trying to display the directory contents of a specific directory, Windows Vista crashes.

Also recently, half of my icons have been replaced with the unknown icon and I've tried almost everything to get them to show up correctly.

Any ideas?

Welcome To TSG ..

Start > Run > eventvwr.msc > On the Right Side Expand .. 'Windows Logs' .. Select 'Application' .. In The Middle Pane .. Double Click on Errors ... Copy Them And Paste Them Here.....

Do the Same With 'System'

THANK YOU for the fast reply.

My desktop icons are not corrupted. It's all the start menu icons except those that have registry values pointing to other icons in shell32.dll and some disk drives in My Computer have broken images...

That happened when I clicked Browse on LogonStudio. It happens on almost every software.

Back up ALL of your data, you just may need to rebuild your machine.
It appears that the OS has been clobbered.

Yes! I downloaded IconPackager and switched to a different icon package, then switched back to the original vista, and it looks like everything is fine!!!!!

Thank you SO MUCH for your support!

Also for the other errors any idea on what I can do to fix them?

This community rocks!

Also I just tried browsing/saving for files and it works too! So it was all an icon problem!

For the other errors I posted, what is causing them?

Uninstall 'LogonStudioVista.exe' and 'StyleXP And 'xnview.exe,'
Also Uninstall ' RebIC.exe' >> i Think this is the cause of the problem

Everything else is Fine
