No Audio Output Device is Installed
I'm trying to get sound to work in windows Vista but am having no luck, it just keeps telling me that there is no audio output device installed. I installed the current Realtek AC''97 audio drivers for Vista but after I restart nothing happens and I still get the same error message when I hover the mouse over the speaker icon.

As of right now I don't know what other drivers there are, my motherboard is an ASUS KN8 ultra.

EDIT: I think it's actually a K8N ultra.

Check in your BIOS that the AC'97 is enabled, also see what you get in Device Manager - check for "!"'s in the icon, is there an error code for any devices or anything listed as "Other Devices"?
