Unhappy NDISRD.sys missing on boot
Hey, for some reason i just stared to and keep getting an error on boot.

File: ndisrd.sys

status 0xc0000098

info: windows failed to load because a required file is mission or corrupt.

----

any ideas?

(need answer ASAP for school work)

PS: i tried using my vista disc to reapir it, and the log says that it could not repair the file so it does a windows restore, which is successful, but i still get the error.

ANYONE!? i need it for school, its got 3 of my assignments all due tomorrow!!

I know that this answer is way too late for this specific user, but maybe it can help others:

I had the exact same problem, and here is what I did:

On a different computer I downloaded a Slax live cd (a small linux that run from the CD) and burned the iso file to a cd-rom.

I then booted my computer from the slax cd and using the explorer-like program found the ndisrd.sys file in this path: C:/Windows/System32/Drivers/ndisrd.sys

I then took a deep breath (recommended) and deleted the file.

My computer then worked fine again.

This may not help anyone with this problem, but it worked for me.
