Unhappy Another vista problem i have!
Guys why is it that though my pc is connected (net) it only shows local network and not the internet. The vista networking and sharing windows only shows my connection as local network and WTH i can't use my fav. browser firefox at all. Though i can surf on IE fine the speed is minimal (not the normal surfing speed i get, am on 512).
Well i noticed that assigning the default gateway just doesn't seem to help at all. As when i hit on close on the network and check back, the default gateway address appears balnk again?! I'm on a dsl connection and my isp automatically provides ip address i.e.DHCP. Also i'm using the onboard ethernet adapter (Via Rhine) to connect to the internet.
By the way the internet connection was working fine before i removed vista and re-installed it again?
Please help me on this one someone please. Thanks!
