Solved: Hijack This instillation problem with AVG and Vista
Yesterday I installed Hijack This on a new Gateway PC with Vista Home Premium and it ran and produced a log.

The problem is that when AVG did a scan, it called hijack a virus (Virus identified worm\generic.DHT) and deleted it. Now when I try to install it, AVG blocks it from installing. Ave had it in the virus vault. I emptied it out and deleted the folder that it was installed in but that did not help.

I never had that problem on my winME PC.

Has anyone else had this problem or know how to fix it?

I posted this on the general security forum, but there is only one person viewing that forum.

I tried installing HijackThis again today and it worked.
Problem solved. Will see if it gets deleted by AVG again. Is ok for now.
