Misdirected Service - Can't find the .exe file
I have been trying to troubleshoot some Adobe problems and discovered that my FLEXnet service wasn't started. When I go to start it manually, it can't find the file. After messing for some time, I discovered that an extra little symbol worked its way into the path for the executable for the service:

-"C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Macrovision Shared\FLEXnet Publisher\FNPLicensingService.exe"

That "-" might be causing all my problems, but I have no idea how to edit it out. In the services window then the properties for the FLEXnet, it doesn't give me an opportunity to edit the path.

Any suggestions? I can't find a way to uninstall it and I can't figure out a way to reinstall the service.

search for FNPLicensingService.exe in the registry
probably under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services
and edit it there.
or the harder way through a command prompt type sc config /?
for info
