Unhappy Solved: Need help with internet connection.
I have windows vista home prnueim and when there was an error I reinstalled vista but the internet wont work when I connect the modem cable to my compute nothing happends at all it doesn't even say "network cable got unplugged" It's like my computer dosn't know it at all.

So I decieded I have to set up a connection I went to connect to>setup new connection>connect to the internet>then click the box show connection options for this computer is not set up to use and it gets me " Broadband (PPPoE) so I set it up and it wont connect it connects as dial-up isnt this suppose to be broadband?

Also can anyone tell me how to set up a BROADBAND connection to my vista I dont have any connections at all.

Go here and make sure your ethernet card does not have yellow"?"
Run:
"devmgmt.msc" hit enter...
If it does you need to download and install a driver for it to be recognized (usually with motherboard drivers if onboard)
