Add contacts missing in vista mail
Hope someone can help me with this. In my windows mail I don't seem to have an add contacts tab in the contacts list folder. I have right clicked on the toolbar but there is nothing there to restore this tab. Thanks.

Look for "New Contact" when you have Contacts open.

My problem is, in contacts folder, there is no 'New contacts' showing on the toolbar and no visible means of getting it to appear.

I am having the exact same problem. My "Add New" and "Edit" buttons have disappeared from the toolbar when I'm in Windows Mail Contacts. It used to be there. Anyone ever get a solution?

Right click the tool bar and select "Customize". Are these items listed in the "Current ToolBar Buttons"?
If not add them. If so we need to close this pane.
Has the "Show All Messages" been dragged over the top of these wanted Icon?

I just found the same answer on the web; when I right-clicked my contacts and chose "customize this folder", my template was NOT set to contacts..I chose that and the buttons came back. Thanks so much.

New contacts button missing - me too!
I have tried everything as described from past postings and still cannot get my "new contacts" button to appear. When I click on "contacts" and all my email addresses appear, my New Contacts button is missing. I cannot right click on the tool bar as nothing happens. I have Organize, Views, Slide Show and Burn. I'm frustrated!

I can no longer right-click on the toolbar either, but here's how to customize it to "contacts". Go to View-Customize This Folder-Select the Customize tab on the Contacts Properties box and choose "Contacts" under Use this folder type as a template option. That should bring all the buttons back for you.
