USB 2.0 transfer rates of 250kb/s, need help!!
hi

i recently installed vista ultimate and now my USB transfer rate sits on 250 kb/s, it doesnt mater if im transfering to my ipod video or to an external hard drive the transfer rate is the same, I have an asus P5N32-E SLI PLUS mobo, i installed the vista chipset drivers off the asus website, is there something else i need?

What are you using to test this?

You can try this, but I don't think it addresses performance problems >

Hi

When you drag and drop something from the computer to the external hard drive or anything really if you click more details it tells you the speed at which it is transfering, plus when its taking 3 and a half minute to transfer 90mb to a thumhstick you can kind of tell somethings wrong but i cant figure it out

Just out of curiousity -- try a "DOS" copy command to bypass the Explorer interface and see if it makes a difference.
