Unhappy Big problems and no idea how to fix them.
Hey guys my first post and sadly its not a good one. I recently decided to cleanup my computer and started with CCleaner. I ran the normal cleaner and registry cleaner and restarted my computer. Now the problems occur, first thing i noticed that whenever i close windows explorer it looks like explorer.exe is crashing because my taskbar disappears and everything else. It reloads but with some things missing from the bottom right of the taskbar.

Second problem is that now my dvd drive is not appearing in my computer. When i got to device manager it says "Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)". I made a restore point before all of this but its not there anymore (i think ccleaner got rid of it). I just have no idea how to fix any of this so any help would be much appreciated.

Learn one lesson: never use all the registry cleaner crap applications on the market!
They are just there to make money and cause more problems then they fix!

CC Cleaner completely screwed up my PC early this year and I had to do a complete reformat of the HDD and start all over - never again!!

Having said that, CC Cleaner creates it's own registry restore point and you would have been prompted to do that when you ran the reg cleaner part of it.

If you Google for CC Cleaner reviews you will find glowing reports for it and the goods outweigh the bads about 10:1 but the bads are real bad!!

Hope someone here can help you fix it!
