Freezes Up
I posted a problem a few days ago and I haven't gotten any replies so I'm trying again. I freeze up while playing Yahoo Canasta. It's very frustrating! Please help.

No one including me can answer that without a description of system hardware and software and actual experience adding new of either.

It's a new computer with Vista. I went to Yahoo Canasta to play just like I would on my old computer and get froze up in the middle of a game. I don't know if its something in Vista or java or what. I just know that on my old comp I never had this problem and now on a brand new one I have it on a regular basis.

Please tell us the model and make of computer or if home build the components..."new computer" doesn't quite describe it well enough!

Well that is a very poor cpu with low cache, even though the memory is fine, and laptops have a hard enough time doing games as it is. Have you added any memory? Updated the video driver?

It's not a laptop. I haven't added anything. Could it have something to do with java? Of course I don't know what I'm talking about but it opens java when I log on to a game room and since this is the only time I'm having this problem I thought maybe that has something to do with it.

Sorry I thought all Inspirons were laptops. Well java is used for most games, have you updated to the most recent version?
