Exclamation System32 problems with Vista
I recently tried to update Norton Internet 2007 with my Vista operating system. Now Norton doesn't work, my desktop is completely empty except for the wallpaper and the recycle box, Word asks me about changes to the template normal each time I open it, Adobe reader has internal errors and some other programs aren't working either (including IGPRO which I keep my school grade book in.) I tried to restore my computer back to before the changes in Norton, but that didn't work.

Each time I startup the computer when it gets to the desktop it displays a message that says c:/windows/system32/config/systemprofile/desktop file is missing.

Does anyone have any ideas. I'd really appreciate your help. I've only had this computer about 3 months, so I'm really upset that its already screwed up.

Thanks so much for your help!
