Exclamation vista won't install usb drivers
I have recently purchased a wireless usb modem with the network 3.

When i insert the device it is recognised. However the software for the device is installed on the device, and vista fails to recognise this and askes for a CD to install it.

I have tried several programs from internet sites but none seem to be the right one.

The device works perfectly when i use it on a XP computer.

I have also experienced the same problem with usb flash drives.

Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

Is this device compatible with Vista?
Since it is asking for a CD I would say NOT. Check the OEM's website for more information.
You might post the make and model here as we may be able help further.

At http://www.huawei.com/mobileweb/en/p...view.do?id=282 does NOT list Vista

"Auto installation, convenient for use
Windows 2000 and Windows XP Operating system "
