Programs installed before Vista was installed
I have just yesterday installed Windows Vista Ultimate on my computer on a new partition (two new HDs for RAID0 ) and I did not touch my previously installed XP or any of the programs installed on it, in fact, I am able to run most of those programs!! such as Wimamp and multiple games! This took me by surprise as I expected to have to reinstall everything. However I can run them, yes, but to do so I have to find the .exe files for whatever I want to run, or create a short cut! (or for the games, it automatically creates an entry for the games in "Games" which is beyond awsome!)

Is there anyway I can have Vista scan my computer for applications, or my previously installed Windows XP for applications, and set itself up for them? so I can type in the search box in the start menu thingy and they will come up? If not I fear I will have to reinstall everything anyway just over the pre-existing installs >.<

Let me know if you need more info!
Thanks!
