Saving gifs - help please
Hi
I am fairly new to Vista and still trying to find my way round it but so far, so good - however I have found a problem with saving and viewing GIFs - when I make an animated image, I can view it perfectly well in Animation shop or when it arrives in an email but when I try to save it in my documents, the file goes static and then I can't view it as an animation unless I open it in animation shop again. if I try to attach any animations to emails, they are static - I am sure it is a simple setting error but can't figure out what to do.
Any advise gratefully received.
Thanks
SP

Your animated gifs are still ok, but you have to view them in your browser to see the animated effects. They will also arrive at the other end as animated when you attach them to an email. If you put them in the body of your email, you can see them animated. They just don't show as animated in your files, or in windows photo gallery, but they are still working though.

Thanks so much - it's good to know they work when they arrive the other end! LOL
I am so used to XP where I was able to view my GIFs and it is a bit strange to have to relearn things.
Thanks for your reply

When you click on gif's, they should open by default in Internet Explorer, and be animated. Maybe you changed the file association.

A very good image viewer that will show animated gif's is IrfanView. Be sure to install all the plugins and this program can open nearly any image format under the Sun.

I have everything to open by default in PSP but it is when I click on preview that it doesn't show up as animated - however I now know that things arrive as animated when I email them so that is great.
I will try the IrfanView for sure - thanks so much for that.
