Somebody! Anybody! Need major advice!!!!
Can anybody help me???? My emachines kicked the bucket- it was used primarily for work and was about 5 years old- so I thought hey, I'll get a new computer no prob- kinda exciting I get home and try to install my brand new Microsoft Office 2007- (149.99) and it is not compatible with my Stedman's spellchecker using Vista- so I have to download Word 2000 instead- I cannot get my control (CTRL ) button to work in my Word program (which is how I close documents, Bold, etc.) then when I attempt to download my Dictaphone and Nortel Contivity VPN client it will not work! So I just spent 1200+ on nothing that works for me! I have spent the last week with Microsoft as well as HP phone technicians who I can't understand to begin with and they have been absolutely no help whatsoever. HP blames Micro- Micro blames Nortel- noone can help and I am 1200 down the hole at this point. My options are to spend 350 on my old computer to get it fixed- take this one back and ORDER one with XP already on it or attempt to clear Vista off this computer and try to put XP on this one (gulp). Anyone anywhere can you please offer any sound advice???? Thank you so much in advance- you have no idea what it means to me!!!!!
