internet explorer wont connect to any sites
I recently bought a new laptop with vista ultimate..........I had a problem with Internet explorer lag and freezing which i was unable to fix after a lot of grief I ended up wiping and using a recovery disk.......I have now wiped my system twice..........all was fine........I was busy putting everything back........I had 22 windows updates rebooted and now I cant connect to any sites with internet explorer..........I have downloaded firefox to list this plea for help .........Im really starting to become stressed everything I try stuffs up ........cant get yahoo to work properly........I cant get system restore to work it just hangs.........and I have to force a shut down........so to start with an error free computer I used a recovery disk and wiped and restarted (this is the second time as mentioned earlier)only to get this different problem with Internet explorer...........the two different messages are the internet explorer cannot connect to website and address not valid. I am using Kaspersky virus suite........I have disabled this but still no joy I have also followed steps to revert to original Internet explorer without add ons. Hope this makes sense bit of a ramble I know..........a ramble of total frustration. I am on a dial up connection so all this wiping and redownloading everything takes a lifetime.
