I can send e-mail, but recipiant never receives it. No Errors. Windows Vista Mail.
I can send e-mail, but recipient never receives it. I get no error message, its like the e-mail goes through fine on my end.

Then I talk to the recipient and find out no matter who I send to, they don't get my E-mail. I can't even send mail to myself. I have multiple accounts in my house, its the same for all. I just noticed this a few days ago.

It seems to be a different problem from the other issued on this board because there is no error message, and the fixes (new port) didn't work.

Any suggestions? I can go on comcasts web mail and it sends fine and I can send from my iphone and laptop.

Thanks.

What program are you using on these machines?

On my PC with the problem it is Windows mail in vista. On the laptop, where it works its the same program. It works on all the others programs I have.

I may try to rebuild Mail, or get Windows Mail Live, im getting sick of trying to fix this.

I ran spyware, downloaded comcast's McAffe to scan for viruses....getting fed up.
I put the account on other PCs and its just fine.

You may have something installed that is blocking the sending of the email. It could even be McAfee or your fire wall.

Does a copy appear in the the sent folder?

What are your settings in the Account pane?

Well this happened before McAfee was installed and all I had was the vista firewalls, it just happened all of a sudden. All the account info is right

Delete the account and reenter ALL of the information. This seems to work more often than trying to edit things.

I am at a loss. There is no reason for this suddenly happening. I checked for spyware and ran a virus check again. Nothing still. I know the settings are right, what could be blocking the email

It may help if you were to answer these questions.

Yes, they are in the sent folder. this is why I didn't know about it right away, and no errors.

I have the correct settings,

587 and 110 as per comcast, I did try the others, and i have authithentication on. The settings work on my other PC and iPhone.

Did this start before or after "I ran spyware, downloaded comcast's McAffe to scan for viruses....getting fed up"?

If before what were you running for your AV program?
