Exclamation Slow Boot time.
I went into msconfig and was looking to see what was slowing down my start up time , and I found this item and I didn't know what is was. So I did some research and found that is was some type of malware and I want to remove it but I don't know how, I tried spyware removers, antivirus, adware removers... etc. Some one help me.

There is also one more item I found while searching through my startup stuff and found "Language Application" I also do not know what it is and want it remove if it is bad.

Any Ideas to increase my startup time would be great also.

powerreg isn't malware but a reminder to register some program or another

I can see nothing wrong in teh log but vista is slow booting if you don't have enough ram

I will move you to vista forum for advice

As mentioned by Derek, how much ram do you have? Did Vista come already installed on this computer or did you upgrade?

Also was this computer upgraded from Windows XP to Vista?

Also what version of Spyware Doctor do you have? Several versions are not compatible with Vista and I've seen it slow computers down quite a bit.

You have 17 non-hidden startups, so they for sure slow you down. What is the CPU speed?
While upgrading, was it clean install, or just simple upgrade? Another gig of RAM would help, as well.

I'd try uninstalling Spyware Doctor and see how it affects the startup time.

With what you are running, I'd also suggest adding an additional 1GB of RAM, it'll make the system run much smoother.

Here's how to do a clean install with an Upgrade disc: http://www.winsupersite.com/showcase...rade_clean.asp

But in the long run I think you'll want to upgrade to 2GB of RAM as well.

Why do you want to reinstall? I see no reason.
1. I checked your HJT log, and it's clean. Btw, you're running older version of it. You need to download new version: http://filehippo.com/download_hijackthis/, and repost your log.
Also, you need to update your profile, because it says Windows XP.
2. You have very high number of startups, and processes running. You cut those two numbers down, do some computer cleaning, and I'm sure, you're gonna be good to go (1 extra gig of RAM will help, too.

If you wish, i can help you to sort those things mentioned in #2, out.
