Unhappy Windows Vista Media Player Sound Problem
Hello to one and all,
I recently purchased an Imac computer 7,1 and then proceeded to install Windows Vista on a second partition (big mistake). In the Windows Vista partition I went to Media Player and selected one of the songs from the installed playlist and when I clicked on, it started to move the playbar which indicated it was playing. The speaker is at maximum volume but no sound.

I then contacted Windows support site by phone and after talking to (and trying to interpet what was being said) I was sent from Customer Service to a Tech(supposedly) who attempted to use the Device manager to disable and enable the High Def link. When this did not work, I was informed it was and Imac problem and they attempted to connect me with the Imac rep who could not answer the problem and put me on hold while she transferred me to a Senior rep. After 25 minutes of being on hold I was disconnected. I called back to Windows suppport and was told that there was nothing that they could do to assist me.(???!!) I did not get a case number from windows but I did get one from Imac which has not produced any solution.

By the way my Imac partition plays all audio and videos in ITunes.

Sorry about the length of this message but I am totally frustrated and at a lost as to what to do know. If anyone has encountered this problem or has a solution I would appreciate hearing from you and I am sure it would help many others.

Thank you.

Yes, it is a Imac problem. You need to get back with them. Most likely the problem is that you do NOT have the Vista drivers from Imac for the Imac devices.
